Saturday, July 5 • 9:00am - 12:00pm
Mycellium Running at the Maine Heritage Orchard (Hands-On)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

See the initial stages of the Maine Heritage Orchard site (see John Bunker's 10:45 session for overview) and get your hands into some soil innoculation!

On Saturday, July 5, Tom Vigue will lead a work party at the Maine Heritage Orchard to inoculate the soil at the base of our apple trees with MycoGrow™ Soluble and the chip filled swales with King Stropharia. We will begin work at 9 am and continue until we are done. Convergence participants are invited to join us at their convenience.

Both MycoGrow™ Soluble and King Stropharia are products provided by Fungi Perfecti.

King Stropharia is an ideal player in the recycling of wood debris, creating soil. It thrives in complex environments, vigorously attacking wood – sawdust, chips, twigs, and branches.

MycoGrow™ is a powdered spore mass. It has been designed to be added to the rooting media of plants. It is concentrated and contains many spores and species.
